WHERE DO I FUEL IN ONTARIO?

POLICY: ALWAYS fuel as much as possible in ONTARIO at ULTRAMAR Cardlocks, both locally and in western Canada before entering the U.S.

When traveling west, if fuel is needed to return to Ontario, fuel in ILLINOIS (if price significantly discounted compared to neighbouring states) using the COMDATA card at a PILOT or TA . . . just enough to make it back to Ontario. It's still cheaper to fuel in Ontario only.

When traveling south, if fuel is needed to return to Ontario, fuel in NORTH CAROLINE using the COMDATA card at a PILOT or TA . . . just enough to make it back to Ontario. It's still cheaper to fuel in Ontario only.

NOTE: The HUSKY at Sault Ste. Marie will accept the ULTRAMAR card.

Fuel at PILOT's and TA's in the states/provinces listed below using the COMDATA Card (remember you have a $650.00 daily limit):

DO your best to NOT PURCHASE FUEL IN A STATE or PROVINCE NOT ON THE LIST! The IFTA state fuel tax and surcharge rates have a big impact on overall savings - it's not just the price at the pump!

Purchase only enough fuel outside of Ontario to return to an ULTRAMAR fuel location within Ontario.

When in doubt, always contact DISPATCH at 800.249.0664 for a routing and fueling guide for your trip.

State and province eligibility has been determined by combining the price at the pump with the IFTA fuel tax rates, which differ from state to state, and whether or not the state has a fuel surcharge.

WHAT DO I DO IF I NEED A REPAIR?

Contact KBD at (800) 249-0664 24/7. During regular hours, ask for Bruce or Pat. After hours, request the answering service to page Bruce or Pat. Provide a description of the problem so that they can best assess the cause and determine your repair needs.

If the repair is done in Ontario, provide the repairer with a copy of your CAB Card to show the vendor that KBD is IFTA-licensed and we are PST Exempt. (PST Vendor Permit #1179-7754)

If the repair is done in the U.S., you may be asked to provide payment to the repairer using your COMDATA Card. In this situation, you will need to have your COMDATA Card # and the exact amount of the repair to when calling KBD in order to process the payment transaction.

The KBD office is staffed Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. After hours, ALWAYS call 800.249.0664. The answering service will page the appropriate on-call employee.
